The funeral of Oram Akins who died on Thursday was held from his home, hear Brogueville. on Monday afternoon. The Rev. George Johnston, pastor of the New Harmony Presbyterian .church at The Brogue. officiated. The service s were held at the home and interment was made at the New Harmony cemetery. Felton lodge, No. 148. Knights of Pythias, and Wopatha tribe. No. 473, Improved Order of Red Men, of which he was a member had representatives in attendance and also members of the lodge served as pallbearers. They were John P. Reichard, B. S. Bentz. Levi S. Grove, Clayton Seitz. William Warner and Jacob M. Seitz. The funeral party from here made the trip, in Harry B Kohler's sled. The funeral was to have been held in the morning, but owing to the snow storm was postponed until the roads were opened. in the afternoon.
