JAMES E. CALIMER, 49, of 944 N. Euclid Ave., Ontario, Calif., and formerly of Waynesboro, died unexpectedly Monday evening, Jan. 25, at his residence. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Born May 10, 1938, in Waynesboro, he was the son of Ruth (Helfrick) Calimer Knepper, Waynesboro, and John E. Calimer, Rouzerville.
He was graduate of the Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1958. He had been a resident of California for 18 years and was employed by General Dynamics as a senior resident engineer.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, New Port Beach, Calif., and a former member of the Calvary Chapel, Beartown. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Airline Pilots Association of Ontario, Calif.
In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by four sons, Timothy G. Calimer, James E. Calimer, Jr., David A. Calimer, and Mark K. Calimer, all of Waynesboro. Also surviving are two grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Miller and Mrs. Delores Leon, both of Waynesboro, two brothers, Steven Calimer, Waynesboro, Rodney Calimer, Fountaindale; a step-father, Percy E. Knepper, Waynesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Calvary Chapel Cemetery, Beartown, with the Rev. Marcella L. Khmas officiating.
It was his request that there be no viewing and that flowers be omitted.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Chapel of Beartown.
