M. Catherine Aughinbaugh, of Waynesboro, entered into Heavenly slumber March 2.
She was a daughter of the late Charles D. and Frances Bowers Woodring.
Mrs. Aughinbaugh lived all her life in Beartown (Washington Township). She attended the Monterey School in Blue Ridge Summit. She had previously worked at the Waynesboro Knitting Mill and the Gettysburg Shoe Factory.
She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth McIntyre of York and Rosalie Emory of Waynesboro; five sons, Richard "Sonny" Aughinbaugh, Franklin Aughinbaugh and Gary Aughinbaugh, all of Waynesboro, and Ronald Aughinbaugh and Ray Aughinbaugh, both of Fairfield; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shirley Ann Aughinbaugh; one daughter, Frances Recard; one son, Charles Daniel "Danny" Aughinbaugh; three sisters, Viola Ulrich, Beulah Rook, and Janie Green; and one brother, Walter "Buddy" Bowers.
