“The Delphi Citizen,” Delphi, Indiana, Page 8, Thursday, July 6, 1944 FINAL RITES HELD FOR MARTHA ELLEN AIKEN Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Ellen Aiken, 76 of Cutler, Indiana were held Wednesday at the Cutler Presbyterian Church; the Reverend Tarry Odell officiating, assisted by Reverend Dale Brubaker. Burial was in Ball Hill Cemetery. The wife of Albert R. Aiken, she died at her home on Monday afternoon.
The daughter of Hezekiah Ashba and Nancy Jane Black Ashba, she was born in Carroll County, Indiana on October 21, 1867. She married Albert Aiken in 1890.
Survivors besides the husband are two sons: Kenneth and Guy of Cutler; a daughter, Mrs. Truda Trobaugh of Burlington, Indiana; a sister, Mrs. Mary H. Lowery of Cutler and a brother, Joseph J. Ashba of Rossville, Indiana.
