He was residing in Palestine at the time of his death in a Tyler, TX hospital. He was survived by; two daughters, Lynda Jean Amason Woolverton and Michele Lynn Amason, both of Palestine; one son, Johnny Max Amason of Katy; two sisters, Helen Amason Ferguson of Palestine and Janet Amason of Kerrville; one brother, J.
