Unidentified Newsclipping - 1890
BENDER.--Benjamin F. Bender was born at Buffalo, Perry County, Pa., February 11, 1844, and died near there April 7, 1890. In early life he joined the German Reformed Church, but soon united with the Methodist Episcopal Church, and remained a faithful member. The religion he professed he exemplified. He was "a good man, full of faith and the Holy Ghost." His death was triumphant. His last words to surviving friends were: "My God and my Master, Thou hast gone to prepare mansions above. If it were not so, Thou wouldst have told us." A wife and two sons survive him.
