Eve Fuller Bender Chance, 83, of Newville and formerly of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 20, 1928, in Ickesburg, PA, to the late Benjamin and Hattie Fuller.
Eve was a graduate of the former Duncannon High School, retired from Carlisle Tire & Rubber and in her retirement worked as a coffee hostess at Sheetz. She enjoyed yard sales, flea markets, music and watching the Paula Deen cooking show.
She was the widow of Charles N. Bender and Billy Ray Chance.
Surviving are two daughters Sandra K. Bisking and her husband Michael of Dover, Debra A. Sturtz of Newville, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son John N. Bender, a daughter Ellen L. Bender, and three brothers Adam Fuller, Martin Fuller and Ben Fuller.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, July 23, 2011, in the Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with Pastor Jeremy Fuller, officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Cemetery.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m., until 11 a.m., on Saturday, in the funeral home.
