Charles E. "Chuck" Farner III, 44, of Landisburg, PA passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at his home. He was born June 15, 1966 in Carlisle to Charles (Ed) and the late Janet Boyer Farner who passed away on February 4, 2008. His wife, Kristen Fuller Farner, preceded him in death on May 4, 2009. Chuck loved to hunt, fish, workout and watch NASCAR and football, especially Penn State. He was a member of the Elks, BPOE 578, of Carlisle. Chuck graduated from Boiling Springs H.S. in 1984 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Penn State in accounting. At PSU, he played the saxophone in the Blue Band. Chuck was employed as a CPA in the State Auditor General's Office.
He is survived by two daughters; Kayley and Mckenna Farner; two sons Andy and Luke Farner, all of Landisburg; two sisters, Louise A. Prince and husband David of Tully, NY and Michele Farner of Royse City, TX; in-laws, Laureen and Dennis Fuller of Ickesburg; a companion Lori Leister and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, December 27, 2010 at 10:30 AM in St. Patrick's Church, 85 Marsh Dr., Carlisle, PA 17013 with the Reverend William C. Forrey officiating. Burial will be in the Buffalo Cemetery, Saville Twp. in Perry County. A visitation on Sunday, December 26 from 6 to 8 PM with an Elk's Service at 7:45 PM at the Hollinger Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 501 N. Baltimore Ave., Mt. Holly Springs, PA (717)486-3433.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made on behalf of the children to the Orrstown Bank, 1 S. Carlisle St., New Bloomfield, PA 17068.
