LOYSVILLE Ronald C. Fauth, 68, died suddenly from heart complications doing what he loved on his family farm in Loys ville on Monday, March 17, 2008.

Ron was born in York County, to the late Clair and Ethel Craley Fauth. He is survived by his sweetheart, whom he married 50 years ago on June 29, 1958, Nancy L. Heindel Fauth.

The legacy he leaves behind are his family - his seven children. His pride and joy were his 19 grandchildren, who called him 'Pap', with his grandson, Brady Reisinger, meeting him at the gates of Heaven.

On his face and in his hard working hands were the love of farming and the pride he took in his farm bought in 1972. He worked the land and was previously a dairy farmer until he started raising beef cattle and Halflinger horses. Keeping with his love of farming, he hauled livestock to auction houses for local farmers twice a week. He was the owner of Fauth Trucking.

Although a quiet man, he earned respect from many for his caring spirit. He was always there with a helping hand when he could, and never sat back and watched others do the work. Ron attended and was a member of the Three Springs Church of the Brethren in Blain.

He taught his family old fashioned values and ideas. No one would ever see Ron work on Sunday - the Lord's Day, the day to rest. He enjoyed his John Deere tractors and old cars. He looked forward to his Lancaster Farming Newspaper each Saturday and enjoyed his daily cup of coffee at the Bear's Den in Ickesburg.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in the Perry Alliance Church, 6861 Spring Road, Shermans Dale. Viewings will be on Friday 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in the Buffalo Cemetery, Ickesburg, following the service.
