Birth: Jul. 20, 1821, Denmark
Death: Dec. 1, 1903
Eatonville
Pierce County
Washington, USA

Neils A. Jensen and family left Hoitoft, which is just east of the village of Tonder near the border of Denmark and Germany, in 1874, Embarked on the S.S. Europa, (Anchor Line of Transatlantic Steam Packet Ships, John MacKay - Master), arriving in New York on June 30, 1874.

A personal history of Jette's daughter, Christensen Wallace, states that they came via New York, then were in St. Louis, Missouri, where Johanne died in childbirth, along with her infant, and the remainder of the family continued on to Pierce County. In Pierce County they established a homestead in what was known then as Leber, and later Weyerhaeuser, on Muck Creek, where Niels Andrew lived out his life.
