BENJAMIN ADKINS

Benjamin Adkins, 78, died at 1 a.m. Tuesday at the home of a son, Harry Adkins of Bonser Run, Sciotoville.

He was born Aug. 5, 1863, in Elliott county, Ky., a son of Frank and Vicie Adkins. At the age of 26 he located in the Bonser Run community and had resided there since. He was married Sept. 23, 1889, to Anna Saunders, who died March 25, 1920. Six children were born to them and four preceded him in death.

On Jan. 18, 1921, Mr. Adkins married Mollie Anderson, who died Oct. 30, 1935.

Beside the son at whose home he died, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Garnet Montgomery; a granddaughter whom he reared, Mrs. Geraldine Blair, and five other grandchildren, all of Bonser Run. He also leaves a stepdaughter by his second marriage, Mrs. Ruth Thomas of Bonser Run and a sister, Mrs. Arvilla Vaughn of Ironton.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lynn. The body is at the residence.
