Lloyd R. Angle, 76, of 6585 Anthony Highway, died at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 26, in the Waynesboro Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past three years and had been critically ill since being last admitted to the hospital on Nov. 20.
Born July 28, 1911, in Mercersburg, he was the son of the late Clarence and Stella (Smith) Angle. He lived his early life in Clayhck.
He and his wife, Mrs. Mary (Heinbaugh) Angle, were married in September 1933. In 1939, they moved to the present residence near Mont Alto, where they operated a farm until 1978.
Mrs. Angle died in April 1979. He was a member of the Blue Rock United Brethren Church.
Angle also was a member of the Waynesboro Chapter of AARP and the Pennsylvania Farmers' Association.
Surviving are four children: Mrs. Jean Slaybaugh, Chambersburg, and Richard Angle, Gerald Angle and Mrs. Norma Miller, all of Waynesboro; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and these sisters and brothers: Mrs. Hazel C. Gerhart, Mrs. Beulah Angle and Roy C. Angle, all of Greencastle; Mrs. Ruth Yeager, Chambersburg;
Clayton Angle, Mrs,.Vera Zeger.and Robert E Angle , all of Mercersburg; and Mrs. Sara Jane Horst, Hagerstown.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Grove Funeral Home, with the Rev. Irvin Shultz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.
