PFLUGERVILLE - Richard Glyn Alexander, 64, of Pflugerville, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, in Mount Pleasant.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Clint Davis officiating. Interment is under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home.

Mr. Alexander was born on Oct. 27, 1946, in Tyler, the son of Glyn Russell Alexander and Vola Endell Rumbo Alexander. He was a self-employed welder and a member of First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant.

He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Esther Rubie Michelle Alexander of Tempe, Ariz., and Nikki Celeste and Hewsin Chen of Princeton, N.J.; his mother, Vola Endell Rumbo Alexander of Mount Pleasant; and a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Pattie Alexander of Mount Pleasant.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Jerry Alexander.
