Emma Rachel Calhoun, 59, of Hardesty; passed away Monday morning, December 10th, 2012 at the Beaver County Nursing Home in Beaver, Oklahoma.
The daughter of Roy and Lucretia "Lou" (Hill) Calhoun, she was born March 11, 1953 in Liberal, Kansas. Emma was raised in Adams where she attended grade school and the First Baptist Church. She graduated from the Hardesty High School with the Class of 1971.
Emma lived in Duncan, Oklahoma for three years moving to Guymon in 1991. She moved from Guymon to Hardesty in 1994. Her happiest years were those she spent at Hardesty High, and attending the Hardesty Apostolic Faith Church where she had many friends. She was an avid fan of Hardesty Bison Basketball.
She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother and sister.
Survivors include her sister, Cindi Dimmitt and husband, Carl of Guymon, and their children: Chris and Joey Dimmitt of Guymon, Ruthie Dimmitt of Woodward and Tricia Dimmitt of Birmingham, Alabama. Survivors also include several cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, December 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the Guymon First Baptist Church with Rev. Odie Nunley officiating. Interment will be Thursday at 4:00 p.m. in the Union Center Cemetery east of Adams, Oklahoma. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
