Mason William Branaman, 16, Norman, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mr. Branaman was a sophomore at Brownstown Central High School, he had played football at BCHS and had planned to participate in track. He enjoyed riding horses with his father and listening to music. He had attended school in Seymour until the sixth grade. He and his family had attended Kurtz Nazarene Church.
Born Aug. 9, 1991, in Lawrence County, he was a son of Ronnie G. and Lisa G. Benton Branaman, both of whom survive in Norman.
Other survivors include two brothers, Christopher Branaman and Jesse Branaman, both at home; maternal grandmother, Virginia Stewart, Seymour; step-paternal grandfather, James Denny, Seymour; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Glenn Branaman and Sara Branaman-Denny and Robert William Benton.
Chris Breeden will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday at Brownstown Church of the Nazarene, 616 W. Commerce St., Brownstown. Burial will take place at Kurtz Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from noon until time of service Friday at the church.
Memorials may be given to the John Gray benefit fund through Jackson County Bank.
Arrangements were handled by Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown.
