Chinayacsh was a Native American born at rancheria Sisá. He was the husband of Saptimenahuan ("María Peregrina", SBV Baptism 01339). Chinayacsh assumed his Christian name, Pedro Celestino, at his baptism at Mission San Buenaventura on August 4, 1801 (SBV Baptism 01338). Pedro died at Mission San Buenaventura and was buried in the mission cemetery on May 28, 1836 (SBV Death 03284).
