MILDRED EVELYN(CUSHING) BADGER, 85, a longtime resident of Fletcher Road, died peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 1998 in Verdelle Village in St. Albans.
Born in Fletcher, June 8, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Miller) Cushing.
She was the widow of Donald Badger, who predeceased her in 1973.
She leaves two children, Lawrence Greenia and Lorraine Cooley both of Fairfax; a step daughter-in-law, Margie Badger of Gardner, Kan.; two grandchildren, Deborah (Cooley) Ciment and her husband (LT. COL. Ret.) Peter Ciment of San Antonio, Texas and their four children: Samuel, Daniel, Matthew and Jessica Ciment, and Monika Greenia of Los Angeles, Calif.; three step grandchildren and their families, Michael, Cary and Jody Badger; two half brothers, Leo Cushing and his wife Jeanette, and Lee Cushing; a sister-in-law, Florence Cushing Strout; two very special friends, Beverly Frederick and Doris Savard; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father in 1981; mother in 1923; and her brother, Winford Cushing in 1990.
Services will be held Wednesday, April 22, 1998 at 11 a.m. in Hayes-Rich Funeral Home, Main Street, Fairfax by the Rev. Clifford Field. Interment will follow in Binghamville Cemetery in Fletcher.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in Hayes-Rich Funeral Home, Main St., Fairfax.
