NOLA FERN BULLS

Nola Fern Bulls, the daughter of the late James Fredrick and Olive Rebecca (Newman) Coats, was born March 25, 1924, in Tyrone, Oklahoma.

Nola and her family lived in the Tyron, Oklahoma area. The family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma, this is where she finished her schooling.

Nola was united in marriage to William Franklin Bulls on August 30, 1941. To this union two children were born Larry and Opal. Nola and William made their home near Wheeless, Oklahoma. They moved into Boise City, Oklahoma, in December of 1991.

Nola enjoyed crafts. Her crafts kept her busy. Her family will cherish the many pieces that she gave them. Nola also enjoyed painting. She would pass many hours putting together jig saw puzzles. Nola had a key board that she loved to play. Her family enjoyed listening to her play.

Nola was a member of the Wheeless Baptist Church, Wheeless, Oklahoma.

Nola was preceded in death by her husbaand, William Bulls, in March of 2001, her parents Fred and Olive Coats, four brothers, Leroy Coats, Theadore Coats, Loyd Coats, and Ray Coats, four sisters, Verna Hudsonpillar, Thelma Allen, Opal Fenton, and Rena Smith.

Survivors include; one son Larry Bulls and wife Linda, Boise City, Oklahoma, one daughter Opal Mae Mock and husband Keith, Eureka Springs, Arkansas, two brothers, Dorton Coats, Texline, Texas and Donald Coats, Ponca City, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Cindy Allen, Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Curtis Bulls and wife Arlevia, Boise City, Oklahoma, Chad Bulls and wife Julie, Dumas, Texas and Trevor Bulls and wife Melissa, Guymon, Oklahoma, three great-grandchildren, Cady Bulls, Boise City, Oklahoma, Ethan and Miah Bulls, Dumas, Texas, and a host of nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 10:30am at the Wheeless Baptist Church, Wheeless, Oklahoma with Jerry Rice and Trevor Bulls officiating. Interment was in the Wheeless Cemetery. The family suggested memorials to either the Morton County Nursing Staff or the Cimarron Memorial Hosptial EKG Fund, they may be left in care of the mortuary. Services were by Cimarron Mortuary, Box 277, Boise City, Oklahoma.
