Son of Joseph Uriah and Winifred 'Winney' Hayes Anderson, who were from South Carolina and moved into Georgia by 1805.

Anderson, James 63, M (male), W (white), married, born in Georgia, father born Georgia, mother born NC. James is listed as farmer, died AUG, of Dropsey, lived in county 35 years.

Also, the Johnson Co., Ga., Confederate Pension records for Harriet Jane Anderson states James died 1879. I have also found a very short notice of his 1879 death in the "Johnson News" section of the Laurens Co., Ga. newspaper.
