Alamosa, Colo. resident Madonna Lucile Bader, 92, died Feb. 5, 2008, at her home in Alamosa.
Madonna was born Sept. 6, 1915, in Celina, Ohio, to Elmer and Mae (Konrath) Fennig. She married John E. Bader on Nov. 12, 1938, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Washington Township, Ohio.
Madonna worked as a nursery aid for the Lady of Mercy Hospital in Ohio and retired in 1974. She was an active member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mercer County, Ohio, and served in the Ladies Aid and Women's Society. She also enjoyed the time spent with her family.
She is survived by her son Gary (Elizabeth) Bader of Alamosa; her grandchildren Donna (Richard) Vallone of Alamosa, John Bader of Port Isabelle, Texas, Mae (Jeff) Fringer of Alamosa; six great-grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren. Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.
Cremation was chosen, and a private interment of ashes will take place in Menahga, Minn. Rogers Family Mortuary of Alamosa is in care of the arrangements.
