TRINITY Ms. Sharon Peace Drye, of Trinity, passed away at her home at 3:54 a.m., on Jan. 15, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sharon was born in High Point to Roy E. Peace and Beatrice Johnson Peace. She attended Central High School and Guilford Technical Community College. She had been employed at Hatteras Yacht Company and owned her own antique prints business.

Sharon is survived by her children, Eric M. Drye and wife, DeLana, and Kathryn Drye Sumner and husband, Marty; grandchildren, Erica Drye, Madison Drye, Holden Sumner and Jared Sumner; her companion of 21 years, Charles Tedder, and his children, Angie Sexton and Chad Tedder who will be a great support for him.

Sharon was an antique enthusiast and loved to travel. Even during her extensive treatment for cancer over the last five years she traveled to the coast several times, Nova Scotia and accompanied Charles on several trade shows. Her love for God and family sustained all of her family and numerous friends during the last days. She was an angel on earth and is in a new body now in heaven.

Sharon's wish was to be cremated. She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church and a monument will be placed in the cemetery there in her honor.

A Memorial Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale by the Rev. John Stein. A visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, N.C. 27262; or to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital, Post Office 20, Memphis, TN 38101.
