Funeral services for Mrs. Esta Chartier, 78, were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 14, in the Nazarene Church in Hennessey with the Rev. Vida Robinson officiating.
She was buried in the Harmony Cemetery, southwest of Hennessey, with Cordry and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Chartier died Wednesday evening, July 11, in her home in Hennessey. She was born near Perkins and grew up at Arnett. She and Gilbert Chartier were married Nov. 12, 1923.
They lived on a farm west of Hennessey until 1967, when they moved to town. Mrs. Chartier was a member of the Nazarene Church.
In addition to her husband Gilbert, Mrs. Chartier is survived by two sons, Lee Chartier of Hennessey and James Chartier, Enid; a daughter, Mrs. Aileen Frazier of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren; two brothers, Ruphard Switzer, Oklahoma City and Pearl Switzer, Blanchard; three sisters, Hazel Stinson of Dover, Ruby Crouch, Albuquerque, N.M., and Dewey May, Neshova.
