Prince. Oldenburg Dynasty. In English also called Charles. He was the only son of King Carl XIII and Queen Charlotte and was created Duke of Vermillandia at birth. In consideration of his dynastic importance he was known for his immediate death, which prevented Carl's own branch of the dynasty from continuing on the Throne of Sweden.
