Zelda Mae was born to Titusie Carpitcher and Lona Harjo in Seminole County. Her life was dedicated to caring for her home and family. Zelda was a lifetime member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Sasakwa. She passed away at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Morgan, in 1998; her parents, grandson, Lloyd Morgan; three brothers: Alfred, Sam, and Andrew Carpitcher; and one sister, Liza Coon. Surviving are her children: Leonard Morgan; Gilbert Morgan and wife, Delfa: Melvin Morgan; and Janice Yahola; all of Tulsa; David Morgan of Holdenville; Hepcey Yahola and husband, Lewis, of Wewoka; Maurice Morgan and wife, Esther, of Holdenville; Edgar Morgan of Holdenville; Amy Morgan of Louisiana; brothers and sisters: Effie Harjo of Wewoka; Lewis Carpitcher of Wewoka; Cully Carpitcher of Sasakwa; and Alice Walters of Sasakwa. Zelda leaves seventeen grandchildren, numerous other relatives and many friends. Mrs. Morgan will have an evening prayer service at Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 and will be taken to her home in Holdenville on Wednesday afternoon. Thursday, May 21, 2009 a procession will take Mrs. Morgan to Rock Springs Baptist Church in Sasakwa for wake services and the funeral set to begin at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 22, 2009. She will be laid to rest at Rock Springs Church Cemetery under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home. Services will be officiated by Reverend Jimsey Harjo and Reverend Ed Bear. Pallbearers are Michael Yahola, Robert, John, Josh, and Timothy Morgan and Adam Yahola. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Yahola and Sampson Morgan.
