Young Lad Passes Away Tuesday After Only a Three Days’ Illness
Funeral Friday.
The sad news was received Tuesday afternoon of the death of Homer, thirteen-year-old son of George Bair, which occurred at 2:30 o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Israel Lybarger, of Leeseburg, where he made his home, Mrs. Lybarger being his aunt. He was ill only about three days from typhoid fever and the seriousness of his illness was hardly realized.
Homer Bair was born in Astoria, November 24, 1903 and resided here with his parents, George and Lizzie Bair, until the death of his mother which occurred about ten years ago. He is survived by his father and one sister — Mrs. Lora Morris, who resides in Ray. His father, who conducted a dray and bus line in this city for a number of years, is now in Menard, Ill.
Homer was a boy who was well liked by everyone who knew him. Besides his relatives, he leaves many acquaintances and friends by whom deep sympathy is felt for the family in their hour of bereavement.
The funeral services will be held at the Salem church, Friday afternoon, October 19, at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Elder G. W. Murray. Burial in Salem cemetery beside the remains of his mother.
