Windsor "Windy" Adams, 79, of Andrews passed away Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.
Funeral services were held on November 1, 2007 at Means Memorial United Methodist Church of Andrews. Rev. Rick Doyle officiated. Burial was under the direction of McNett Funeral Home. Windy was born March 3, 1928 in Stanton, Tennessee. She married James W. Adams, Jr. on March 23, 1951 in Stanton.
She worked for Dunlap's in Hobbs, NM and Odessa before moving to Andrews in 1970. She also worked for Chocks in Andrews as a secretary. She spent many hours working for the literacy program, the library, and in the concessions stand during Andrews football games for many years.
She was a member of the Desk and Derrick Club and a member of the Means Memorial United Methodist Church.
Her husband, James, preceded her in death in June 2006.
She is survived by her children, James "Bubba" Adams III, Susan Hoglund, and Melanie Setzler. She is also survived by three brothers, Art, Bill, and Bud Bruhn.
Her grandchildren are:Sarah Hayes, Adam and Kevin Hefner, Josh Adams, Randi Jo Blackmon, Rachel and Leah Setzler.
Her great grandchildren are:Hope Hefner, Brandon, Gabrel, and Colby Stokes.
