Brother Barrett pastored churches in Tonk Valley, Loving, Newcastle, Wizard Wells, Dublin, Vanderbilt and Goliad, and served 10 years on the staffs of First Baptist churches in Dallas, Seagoville and Caddo.
Survivors: Wife, Rachel Barrett of Graham; daughters, Jana R. Golightly of Gardena, Calif., and Rachel Ann Hearne of Newcastle; sons, Johnny M. Barrett of McKinney, Billy Jack Barrett of Peyton, Colo., and David Barrett of Graham; sister, Louise Brooks of Azle; 25 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.
