Linda Butler, of Craig, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012, at her home.
The family will receive friends at Grant Mortuary from 7-9 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2012, at the Reformed Church in Dulce, N.M.
Interment will be in the Dulce Cemetery.
Tribute to Linda Grace Butler
Linda Grace Randolph Butler was born on June 29, 1958, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the daughter of Alfred Guy and Agnes (Vigil) Randolph. She was raised and attended school in Thoreau, New Mexico. Linda spent her childhood summers in Dulce, New Mexico with her grandparents, Lindo and Bessie Vigil and relatives. Following High School Linda attended Ft. Lewis College in Durango for one year.
She married Earl D. Butler on May 5, 1979 in Thoreau, New Mexico. They made their home in various places over the years finally settling in Craig, Colorado and became the parents of four children, Kayelyn, Robert, Carl and Melody.
Linda was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in which she served in various callings throughout her life, Her hobbies which she enjoyed very much included bead-work, dancing, genealogy, reading, horses, camping, hunting, fishing, and spending time with her husband and children.
She died on August 22, 2012 at her home in Craig Colorado following a lengthy illness. She was 54 years old.
Linda is survived by her husband Earl D. Butler, from Craig, Colorado, her children Kayelyn and husband Brian Inman, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Robert and wife Jodi Butler, Craig, Colorado, Carl Butler, Cheyenne Wyoming, and Melody and husband Tim Bascom, Craig, Colorado. Her grandchildren, Bailey, Landon, Damon, Weston, Miah, Angela, Jamison, Ethan, and Nathanial; Her sister Cici and husband Dale Stevenson, Arizona. Her brothers Bobby and wife Coleen Vigil, Dulce, New Mexico, and Alfred Randolph Jr., Gallup, New Mexico and her stepmother Louise Randolph, Thoureau, New Mexico. Her aunt Rose Martinez of San Juan Pueblo, and her uncle Howard Vigil of Dulce, New Mexico and many other numerous cousins, nieces, and nephew.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Randolph and Agnes Vigil Randolph.
