Paul Lester Adams, 73, 423 B St., died Saturday in Carlisle Hospital.
He was born near Shermans Dale, son of the late Charles M. and Sarah E. Zeiters Adams, resided most of his life In the Carlisle area, was a graduate of Carlisle Commercial College, retired from Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co. Receiving Dept., a member of First United Methodist Church and the Men's Bible class, Carlisle Tire and Rubber 25 years club, Cumberland Star Lodge 197 F&AM, St. John's Council 5, St. John's Royal Arch Chapter 171, St. John's Commandery 8, Knight's Templar, Zembo Temple, Harrisburg, Cumberland County Shrine Club, and MORA Club, and was member and director of Carlisle Fish and Game Association.
Surviving are his wife, Catherine Mentzer Adams; a daughter, Gertrude E. Keller, 349 A St.; three brothers, Richard A. Adams, RD3 Carlisle, Robert C. Adams, Enola, and C. Oscar Adams, Harrisburg; four grandchildren and a great-grandson.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St. with the Rev. Dr. William F. Woods officiating. Burial will be in Kutz's Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. Cumberland Star Lodge and St. John's Commandery Knights Templar will conduct a memorial service at 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Men's Bible class of First United Methodist Church, 64 E. North St. or Cumberland County Unit of American Cancer Society, 236 S. Hanover St.
