DeWITT, Iowa - Leonard Vincent Angerer, 86, died on Sunday, May 30, 2010, at his home in rural DeWitt.

He was born Dec. 24, 1923, in Wilton, Iowa, to Leonard and Florence (Springmeir) Angerer.

Vincent farmed for over 50 years, retiring in 1995.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Villa Nova, and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his sister, Ida Wyatt, Phoenix, Arizona; brothers, Warren Angerer, Silvis, Ill., and Donald and Dolores Angerer, Davenport, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

Vincent was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Ruth, Vivian, Cecelia Howard and Gertrude Lucas, and his brothers, Joe, John and Jerry Angerer.

Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2010, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Long Grove. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. A rosary will be at 4 p.m. and a Scripture service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.
