ELDRIDGE, Iowa -- Funeral services and Mass of the Resurrection for Marguerite M. Blondell, 92, a resident of Davenport Lutheran Home, formerly of Eldridge, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Long Grove. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Long Grove
Visitation will be at the church Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. There will be a prayer service offered at the church at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be Friday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Blondell died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Davenport Lutheran Home.
Marguerite M. Beert was born Aug. 29, 1909, in Moline, a daughter of Alphonse and Marie "Mary" (DeCap) Beert. She married Camiel J. Blondell on Aug. 1, 1928, at St. Ann's Church. He preceded her in death on July 24, 1959.
She was a member of the church, the Church Guild and Creative Christians and had been a Mercy Hospital Auxiliary member.
Memorials may be made to the church or Davenport Lutheran Home.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille "Lu" and Gene Green, Eldridge, and Clara and Don Speth, Davenport; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Ann Blondell, Eldridge; a daughter, Sharon Mazak, LeClaire, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice Avey, Helen (Mrs. Art) Hurlburt and Mary (Mrs. Gus) Guenther, all of Davenport, and Claire (Mrs. Jim) Peterson, West Branch, Iowa; and brother, Camiel (Marcedes) Beert, Bettendorf.
In addition to her husband and parents, a son, Gary J. Blondell, a sister and four brothers preceded her in death.
