Audy Adams was born to Glassell Walter Adams & Dorothy Viola McBride on Apr 5, 1928 and passed away Dec 7, 1992 in Tyler, TX after a long term illness. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Bailey Adams, and five children, Audie Jean Adams, Kathy Wills, Bruce Adams, Joshua Adams and Mark Adams.
Audy served 4 years in the US Marine Corp at the end of WWII and spent his younger years racing flat track motorcycles and owned Adams Triumph in Tyler. He was an avid gun enthusiast and competed in and won many Bench Rest competitions across the country including a National Championship in 1974. He later joined the Tyler Police Dept and retired as a Lieutenant in 1990 after 28 years of service. He was an accomplished gunsmith and built many hunting rifles, competition rifles, and even sniper rifles for law enforcement agencies in the East Texas area.
He lived in Lindale and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tyler.
