Perry M. Dimmitt was born December 19, 1836, in Tippecanoe County to Robert and Kezia Dimmitt. Perry married Eunice Maxwell on December 25, 1857, in Clark County, Illinois. (Eunice's name is spelled Ennis in the on-line marriage record.) Perry and Eunice had one son, Thomas D.

Perry's father, Robert, died on September 16, 1863, and there is an estate on file in Tippecanoe County for him. Since Perry had already died when his father passed away, his wife Eunice and son Thomas D. were listed as survivors in Robert's will.

Perry died on February 19, 1863. I received Perry's date of birth and death from Robert and Kezia's great-great grandson, Bill Dimmitt of Tilton, Illinois.

Perry's wife, Eunice, was remarried on November 20, 1866, in Clark County, Illinois to Samuel Poorman. In the 1870 Census for York, Clark County, Illinois, Thomas Dimmitt, age 11, was living with his mother and step-father, and a new baby, Perry Poorman, age 8/12 year.

On March 16, 1887, Eunice was remarried to William J. Malone in Clark County, Illinois. (Spelled Unice in the on-line marriage record.) Eunice Malone was living with her son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Angie Poorman, in the 1900 Census for Clark County, Illinois.

I have found nothing further on Perry and Eunice's son, Thomas Dimmitt.
