Dorothy Atha, 77, of Monterey, died Tuesday at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was a homemaker and a member of Monterey Baptist Church. Her husband, Lonnie W. Atha, preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, Melvin Atha of Houston, Texas; a brother, Clinton Steger of Cincinnati; sisters, Juanita Comptin of Bakersfield, Calif., and Velma Day and Sylvia Hunter, both of Cincinnati; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McDonald & New Funeral Home, Main Street, Owenton. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
