Lillian A. Adams, 85, Richmond, IL, died Tuesday, Dec 21, 2004, at her home.
She was born Aug 28, 1919, in Chicago, the daughter of Rudolph and Mary Zimba Hoha. She married Paul M. Adams July 12, 1947, in Woodstock, IL. He died March 12, 1981.
She worked as a telephone operator in Richmond for five years, was a coat-check person at Andre's Restaurant for 10 years, and worked as a clerk at the Candy Cone in Richmond for 15 years. She was a former member of Paul C. Hoffman American Legion Post 253. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Richmond.
Adam is survived by two sons, Mitch Adams, Richmond, and Bert (Jeannette) Adams, Burlington; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Josie Turk, Phoenix, AZ.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn, and two sisters, Rose Jenkover and Florence Belowitz.
A memorial service was held Monday, Dec 27, at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, Richmond. The Rev. Terry Dufur officiated. Interment was in Richmond Cemetery.
