Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Elisa G. Acosta of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Acosta, 77, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at her home.

Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Martinez, Wilbur Martinez, Jr., Emilio Martinez, Carlos Martinez, Tommy Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez, and Frankie Acosta.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Thursday beginning at 12:00 p.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Mrs. Acosta was born October 7, 1933 in Balmorhea, Texas; the daughter of Carlos Martinez and Cuca (Garcia) Martinez.

Elisa came to Artesia in 1962 from Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Grace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and a nephew.

Survivors include her son Wilbur Martinez and wife Mary of Artesia; daughters Delma Sanchez and husband Tommy of Artesia, Patricia Rubio and husband Sergio of Odessa, Texas, and Corina Acosta of Odessa; sister Augostina Rodriguez of Roswell, N.M.; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
