He was born to the late Meliton and Magdalena (Chavez) Ulibarri. Benny was a member of the San Isidro Mission in Las Nutrias. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1947 thru 1948. Benny enjoyed camping, traveling and also horseback riding with his equestrian friends. He also enjoyed the quiet country living compared to the hustle and bustle of the big city, and catching up on old times with family and friends.

They spend the last 5 ½ years as companions going to movies, dinner and family functions. Then when Benny became ill, Frances welcomed him into her home and became his caregiver.
