Amos died at age 44 of pulmonary tuberculosis. His 2nd wife, Louisa E. (Daniel) Bertram, had died in 1923 and been buried in Bethesda Cemetery in Wayne Co., Kentucky. Amos Bertram's KY Death Certificate states his body was taken to Bethesda, KY for burial on April 1, 1927 so it is believed he was buried next to Louisa. However, his grave is not marked. Hers has a metal marker engraved with dots which reads simply "Louisie Bertram ... 1889 - 1923". Amos and Louisa were the parents of several children. He was the son of Emilla Ann (Hancock) and Isaac M. Bertram. (His parents' place of burial is uknown as of September 2009.)
