Albert E. Alcorn, 47 of Salt Lake City, Utah, formerly of Arcola, died at 6 p.m. Thursday in Salt Lake City. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Schraeder Funeral Home,Arcola, with the Rt.Rev.Msgr James Haggerty officiating,Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The parish rosary will be recited at 8pm Sunday. Mr. Alcorn was born near Arcola, Nov 8, 1926,a son of Albert and Mary Finn Alcorn. He leaves daughters Patricia Ann, and Mary Jo and stepson, Mike Sessions all of Centralia, Brothers, Leo of Arcola and Richard of Hindsboro;and sisters, Helen Maxwell of Arcola, and Mildred Bryant of Champaign. Mr Alcorn was a employee of the Illinois Central Railroad. he was a veteran of World War II.
