Fenrick (Rick) Thurlow Allen, Jr. - 65, of Chelsea was born in Gardiner, ME on February 1, 1949 the son of Fenrick Allen Sr. and Virginia (Cunningham) Allen.
He passed away from complications due to Cancer at MaineGeneral Medical Center on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 surrounded by his two sons at his side holding his hands. He leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Doris (Lagueux) Allen. Other survivors include his very dear and devoted sons: David Allen and Daniel Allen, also his sisters: Cindy Grady and her husband Dale of West Gardiner, Sharon Boynton of Jefferson and Karen Edwards of Chelsea; his sister-in-law Jeanne LaMarche of Augusta, his favorite uncle Clint Cunningham and his wife Betty both of Augusta; also several aunts and uncles along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rick was predeceased by his father, Fenrick Sr. and his mother Virginia, his father-in-law Gerard Lagueux (Papa), his mother-in-law Lucienne Lagueux (Mama), his brothers David Allen, and Ronald Allen, his brothers-in-law Robert LaMarche, Brian Edwards and Dennis Boynton.
His hobbies included fishing, hunting, gardening, camping, carpentry, and snowmobiling.
Rich was someone who would help others no matter what it was. He was also a past member of the Goodwill Circle Hall in Chelsea, Maine. He will be greatly missed especially by his sons and wife, whom he was very devoted to and were the love of his life.
At his request there will be no hours of visitation. A graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 29th at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, Windsor. Those who desire, may make donations to the immediate family for their personal choice. Arrangements are under the care of Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant Street, Augusta, ME.
