Services of Remembrance for Mrs. Brown will be conducted at 1 P.M. Thursday, April 2nd at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with interment in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64. A visitation for Mrs. Brown will be from 12 to 1 P.M. Thursday, April 2nd at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Arrangements will be provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Homes & Cremation Center - West Chapel at Oakland.
Mrs. Brown was born August 19, 1963 in Memphis, the daughter of John R. Cecil, Sr. and Laura Mae Harris Cecil. She received her education in the Benton, Mississippi County Public School System and was a graduate of Ashland High School. She was married February 25, 1984 to Mitchell Brown, who survives. Mrs. Brown was a member of the First Assembly Church in Cordova and enjoyed crappie fishing, horses and special times with her daughter.
In addition to her husband of 31 years, Mrs. Brown is survived by her daughter, Christina Brown of Lakeland; her parents, John and Laura Cecil of Lamar, MS; two sisters, Paula McFall (Chuck) of Millington, Dawn Walls (Travis) of Arlington; her brother, Johnny R. Cecil, Jr. (Betty) of Brighton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
