ATKINSON, N.H. — Mrs. Marie A. (Thibodedau) Marston, 79, of Atkinson, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 at Hannah Duston Healthcare Center, Haverhill, following a long illness.
Born in Haverhill, daughter of the late William and Albina (Brousseau) Thibodeau, she attended St. Joseph Grammar School and Haverhill High School. She worked in the local shoe industry and at AT &T Technologies.
As a young woman, Mrs. Marston was a member of the Five Quintets dance group and entertained locally known as "Baby Marie." She was also an accomplished singer on local radio in her younger years.
A resident of Atkinson since 1990 and a former resident of Plaistow for 12 years, she was a member of the West Congregational Church of Haverhill. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed ceramics.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Walter F. Marston, three daughters and sons-in-law, Judy Ann M. and David Hagen of Plaistow, Linda M. and David Soares of Plaistow and Kim M. and Kenneth Dovey of Sandown, two sisters, Claire Hunt of South Groveland, and Joanne Mispilken of Plaistow, also six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Route 121A, Plaistow. Her funeral will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday in the funeral home with entombment to follow in Eternal Light Mauseleum, Salem, N.H.
