Mrs. Ball was born in Williamson County and retired after 21 years as the owner and operator of Gina-Lynn Togs of Chapel Hill. After retirement, Mrs. Ball became a supervisor with Harvey's Department Store and later retired from Peebles Department Stores. She was a long-time member of Smyrna Baptist Church in Chapel Hill.
Mrs. Ball was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alllen Ball; her mother, Katherine Biggers Dean; and her grandparents, Comer and Viola Dean.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Ed) Pate of Cecilia, Ky. and Gina (Stanley) Beech of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Jennie Ferguson, Mike Pate, Michelle Schaap, and Melissa Dow; four great-grandchildren, Peter and Katelynn Ferguson, Kiera Pate, and Logan Wilhoite; and cousins, Juanita Burnett, Van Dean and Marian Gallagher.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Woodford officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery, Chapel Hill.
