Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Pearl Adajian.

He was a graduate of Bulkeley High School (Class of 1941) and attended the University of Connecticut until he enlisted in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. Upon Discharge from the service he joined his family in operating the popular restaurant, Adajian's of Hartford until it was sold in 1986.

He was a long-time member of First Church of Christ Congregational in Wethersfield where he served as a Deacon and in numerous other capacities. More recently he became a devoted member of the Asylum Hill Congregational Church in Hartford. He also was a 50-year member of the Masonic Hospitality Lodge #128, A.F. & A.M.

Joe was always deeply dedicated to his family and is survived by his dear wife; a son and daughter-in-law of Fairfield and a daughter and son-in-law of Mystic. He also leaves behind four grandchildren. He leaves two sisters, plus many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Elizabeth and his brother Edward P. Adajian.

A memorial service was celebrated on Friday November 18, at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Ave., Hartford, with the Rev. Gary L. Miller officiating.
