Betty Jean Arseneau, 85, of Kankakee, died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at the Miller Center. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the 11 a.m. celebration of the funeral Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Kankakee. The Rev. John Eck will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded following the Mass. Inurnment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Bourbonnais at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley or the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are by the Clancy-Gernon-Hertz Funeral Home, west Kankakee.
Mrs. Arseneau worked for Kankakee County for numerous years.
She was born May 1, 1926, in Watseka, the daughter of Robert and Emma Gropp Good. Her husband, Rowland Arseneau, whom she married July 6, 1946, in Kankakee, died April 14, 2006. She enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, David and Marvelle Arseneau, of Westmont; two daughters, Paula Arseneau, of Golden Valley, Ariz., and Karen Arseneau, of Clifton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Bellee, of Bradley.
Her parents and several brothers and sisters are deceased.
