William M. "Bill" Bowling, Sr., of Gray Court, was born in Greenville County, on June 19, 1930 and passed away March 14, 2010 at Hospice Care of Pensacola, FL.

He was a retired employee of Torrington Bearing Plant, Clinton. He was also an employed with Clinton Mills, Lydia Plant, for over 20 years and served as the first chief of the Laurens County EMS System, and a member of the Laurens County Shriners, Campbell Lodge #44 AFM. He is the son of the late Paul G. and Lila Henderson Bowling of Greenville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife of 40 years, Barbara Ann McCravy Bowling; four brothers, Paul G. Jr., Bobby Joe, James and Donald Bowling; and a sister, Mary Francis Brugess, all of Greenville.

Surviving are two sons, William M. "Bill" Bowling, Jr. and his wife, Norma and James "Tim" Bowling, all of Clinton; a daughter, Nancy Lynn Steurer of Pensacola, FL; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rev. Mike Bowling and Ronald Bowling; two sisters, Olivia Chitwood and Brenda Lesley, all of Greenville.
