Mrs. Myrtle Glisson Bright, age 75, of Ozark, died Thursday morning, September 2, 2010, in Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2010, from Chalkhead Baptist Church with the Reverend Tommy West and the Reverend Tom Skeen officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
Mrs. Bright was born November 23, 1934 in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Shellie Glisson and Clara Merle Davis Glisson Richardson. She was a homemaker and a member of Chalkhead Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Junior Bright.
Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline and Jackie Bagwell, Caroline Howell, Sondra and Harry Miliner, Regina and Danny Dossett; grandchildren, Amy and Dale Gaddis, Jeffrey and Angie Bagwell, Jonathan Leatherwood, Krystle Leatherwood, Megan Dossett; great-grandchildren, Connor Gaddis and Reagan Bagwell; sister, Myrtice Parish; many special friends and other relatives.
Memorials may be made to Chalkhead Baptist Church, 495 County Road 35, Ozark, Alabama 36360; or to the charity of your choice.
