Shawnee, OK — Longtime Seminole resident Bettie Mae (Stephenson) Adams passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Unity North Health Center in Shawnee, at the age of 77.
She was born on April 6, 1931 in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio to Stanley and Ruth (Thayer) Stephenson.
She was a registered nurse where she worked at the old Seminole Hospital, Pioneer Nursing Home, and Seminole Estates Nursing Home. She also worked as a cashier for Wal-Mart.
She is survived by three children: Ruth Peralsky of San Pablo, Calif, Jannice Factor of Seminole, and William Ruloph of Shawnee; step-children, Steve Martin of Kathleen, Ga, Belva Humphrey of Ft. Valley, Ga, Timothy Martin of Gray, Ga, and Michael Martin of Muskogee; grandchildren, Kim Peralsky of California, Germaine Aldridge, Felecia Cartwright and Andrea Cartwright, all of Seminole; great-grandchildren, Douglas Brady of Oregon, Trebor Burns and Kyalie Burns of California, Damon Aldridge and Elizabeth Aldridge, both of Seminole.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Little Cemetery with Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters; Germaine Aldridge, Felecia Cartwright, Andrea Cartwright, Stephanie Branscum, Amber Lucas and Tonia Rushing.
