Former Vernal resident Glen D. Anderson, 58, of Elmer City, Wash., passed away in Grand Coulee, Wash., Oct. 10, 2000.
Glen was born Aug. 5, 1942 to Charles Rulon and Tauline Martinsen Anderson in Denver, Colo. He graduated from Uintah High School in 1960. He married Aloma Jean Barnes in Gunnison, Colo., in 1963.
Glen worked for the government in Gunnison and Montrose, Colo., Lyman, Wyo., Phoenix, Ariz., Seattle, Wash., and Grand Coulee. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Banks Lake Golf and Country Club where he was currently president. He was also a member of the Moose as present governor, Elks and LDS Church.
Glen is survived by his wife, Aloma, of Elmer City, Wash.; brother, Duane (Maurine) Anderson, Bullhead City, Ariz.; sister, Linda (David) Krueger, Hayden Lake, Id.; and numerous neices and nephews.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Sherwin.
Graveside services were held for Glen in Grand Coulee on Oct. 13 with Bishop Derlyn Brown conducting.
Sam Rey offered the opening prayer and David Krueger, brother-in-law, gave the euology.
Duane Anderson, brother, gave a family sketch with remarks offered by Bishop Brown.
David Krueger dedicated the grave.
Interment was at the Spring Canyon Cemetery under the direction of Strate Funeral Home of Grand Coulee.
