Mason Hatch is not buried in this cemetery. On this website it states there were no burial records found for him there: http://www.usgennet.org/usa/il/state2/ogle_hayes.htm
There is another Find a Grave memorial for him citing where he was buried - in Rutland, Vermont: #134211534.
Both Find A Grave memorials for Mason Hatch remain intact since both are important to his memory.
Mason Hatch's son, James L. Hatch, Sr. most likely erected the monuments to his father at this Bethel-Hayes cemetery. James lived in Daysville, Ogle County. His father's grave in Vermont was not marked, as he died during an epidemic while traveling. James and his fellow Ogle County citizens most likely established this cemetery in honor of their Revolutionary War ancestors in 1849.
